  11. OVERVIEW
  12. --------

  14. ACCessory Swopper will allow you to to double-click on a desk accessory
  15. to disable or enable it.
  16.  
  17. If you double-click on, say, MAXIFILE.ACC, it will automatically be
  18. renamed as MAXIFILE.ACX.  If you double-click on MAXIFILE.ACX, it will
  19. automatically be renamed as MAXIFILE.ACC.

  21. You can also drag your AUTO folder programs to ACCessory Swopper to have
  22. them renamed for the next re-boot.

  27. INSTALLATION
  28. ------------

  30. I've tried to make this program as flexible as possible regarding hard
  31. drive paths and directories.  Please let me know if you run into
  32. problems.

  34. 1.  Place ACCSWP03.PRG on the root of your boot drive/partition.
  35.  
  36. 2.  Select ACCSWP03.PRG, go to the 'OPTIONS' menu and 
  37.     select 'Install Application'.  For file type enter "AC?", 
  38.     for the Default Directory click on the 'APPLICATION' button, 
  39.     and for the Parameter click on the 'FULL PATH' button.  Now
  40.     click on the 'INSTALL' button, and save your desktop.

  42. 3.  You do not have to place a copy of this program on the desktop,
  43.     but doing so will work fine.  The simple act of double-clicking
  44.     on a desk accessory is all it takes to activate the program.

  47. HOW TO USE IT
  48. -------------

  50. Simply double-clicking on anything ending in "ACC" will cause that
  51. file to be renamed with an "ACX" extension.  
  52.  
  53. Double-clicking on anything ending in "ACX" will cause that file to
  54. be renamed with an "ACC" extension. 
  55.  
  56. You can also place this program on the desktop and then drag your 
  57. AUTO folder programs (PRX/PRG) to it.  ACCessory Swopper will rename
  58. your AUTO folder programs automatically to enable, or disable them
  59. for the next boot-up.  This will only work with programs in the 
  60. AUTO folder.

  66. Please do let me know if you encounter any bugs in this program.  I've 
  67. done my best to trouble-shoot it, and am using it every day, but I use
  68. it the way I want it to work - so bugs may not show up for me.

  70. This program has only been tested on a TOS 3.06 TT030, and a TOS 2.06 
  71. Mega STe.  I do not know how it will function on ST's or STe's...though, 
  72. I have an idea that it may not work as advertised on these machines.  
  73. If you'd like it to work for your ST/STe, let me know and I'll see about
  74. making the necessary changes for you.

  76. This program is as public domain as it gets, but please, if you do upload
  77. it to other places, make sure to include this short and sweet manual!  I've
  78. included an ASCII listing of the GFA code for anyone interested in doing 
  79. something with it.
